After Vijay Kedar’s harrowing experience coordinating care for his mother, he shared his vision of supporting patients and driving innovation in the home-based care space with Trevor Fetter, former CEO of Tenet, a partner to Oscar Health. Trevor recognized the meaningful opportunity to drive improvement in home-based care delivery, having seen the gaps in the continuum of care as Tenet’s CEO.
Trevor now serves as an advisor for Tomorrow Health, along with a group of diverse experts leading the nation’s most impactful public and private healthcare organizations. While each advisor brings unique expertise, they are united by a common truth that reinventing a fragmented home health landscape is critical for the future.
Trevor Fetter, Former Chief Executive Officer of Tenet Health
As Former Chairman, President, and CEO of Tenet, Trevor Fetter built a $20B Fortune 150 healthcare services company over his 14 year tenure. Currently, he is a senior lecturer at Harvard Business School, Lead Director of Hartford Financial Services, and Chairman of Trimedx, Inc. He was named one of Modern Healthcare’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” for 16 years, and serves on many boards including Stanford Medicine, the Smithsonian Institution, Towerbrook Capital Partners, Morrow Sodali, Omada Health and TigerConnect.
Eric Hargan, Former Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services
As former Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2017 to 2021, Eric Hargan led 80,000 employees and oversaw a $1.3 trillion budget. He pioneered many of HHS’ policies around home health, value-based care, and Stark laws. On a previous tour of Duty at HHS, Eric served as Deputy General Counsel of HHS, where he created policies for DME competitive bidding. He’s a former law partner at McDermott, Will and Emery, Greenberg Traurig, and Winston & Strawn, as well as an alumus of Harvard University and Columbia Law School. Paul Mango, Former Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy at Health and Human Services
As Former Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy at the Department of Health and Human Services, Paul Mango was an integral part of Operation Warp Speed. Prior to HHS, he was Chief of Staff of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Senior Partner and head of McKinsey & Company’s Global Health Care Practice, and Executive Vice President of the Institute of Transfusion Medicine. He is a former Artillery Officer in the United States Army and received his General Engineering degree from West Point and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Roy Beveridge MD, Former Chief Medical Officer at Humana
Dr. Roy Beveridge served as Chief Medical Officer of Humana, where he developed the company’s clinical strategy with a focus on integrated care delivery. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer for McKesson Specialty Health and Executive Vice President and Medical Director at US Oncology. He is a board certified medical oncologist with extensive publications in the fields of medical oncology, quality design, and population health. He is an alum of Johns Hopkins University and Cornell Medicine, completed his residency at University of Chicago, and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Beth Bierbower, Former Segment President, Group and Specialty Benefits at Humana
Beth Bierbower is an industry leader who most recently served as President of Group and Specialty Benefits at Humana. Prior to Humana, Beth was Vice President of Healthcare Strategy at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Chief Operating Officer of Coventry Health Plans. She sits on various boards including the American Telemedicine Association and BlueSprig, an organization that provides ABA therapy to children. She holds a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon and was formerly an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon and the University of St. Francis.
Bob Badal, Chief Revenue Officer at Strive Health
Bob Badal is a healthcare industry veteran and expert in kidney care. He was former head of insurer contracting at DaVita Healthcare, where he spent 13 years leading all health plan and provider network contracting and served as the President of Latin America operations. He left DaVita in 2016 to co-found Treatment Technologies & Insights as well as Strive Health, where he currently serves as Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, working to improve outcomes for chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease.
Trent Haywood MD, Former Chief Medical Officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association
In his role as Former Chief Medical Officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dr. Trent Haywood oversaw the National Council of Physician Executives and served as Founding President of the BCBS Institute — where he addressed social determinants of health through strategic business collaboration programs such as a partnership with Lyft to provide members with rides to medical appointments. He previously served as Deputy Chief Medical Officer at the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as well as Chief Medical Officer of Vizient. He received his MD from the University of Illinois in Chicago and JD from Northwestern University.
Michael Blau, Retired Partner and Former Chair of Healthcare Industry Team at Foley & Lardner
Michael Blau is a retired partner and former health transactional lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. His practice focused on advising clients on health care corporate and regulatory matters, including mergers & acquisitions, financing transactions, contracting, and more. He was previously chair of the firm’s Industry Teams Department, Chair of the Firm’s Research and Development Group and a member of the firm’s Health Care and the Technology Industry Teams. Prior to joining Foley, he was partner-in-charge of the Health Law Department in the Boston office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
Phyllis Yale, Advisory Partner at Bain & Company
Phyllis Yale is currently an Advisory Partner at Bain & Company and has spent 30 years building the company’s healthcare practice. She served as the Board Chair of Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts and Kindred Healthcare, and is currently a board member of DaVita Healthcare, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Aledade. Over her career she has worked with health care payers and with providers across the continuum of care. Phyllis serves on a number of advisory boards, including Alegeus, Inc., Hero Health, the Advisory Board for the HBS Healthcare Initiative, and the Executive Council of the Health Policy Management Department at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. She is an alum of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
